Voodoos And Taboos, KMA60, DUALITY7, Duality Trax, Time Out Ep,

Underground stalwarts Voodoos & Taboos make their Duality
Trax debut alongside a remix from rising talent Bertie, set to
drop on November 8th. Now on its seventh release, Holly
Lester’s vinyl imprint blends seasoned pioneers with the next
generation of producers. A serendipitous moment at
London’s E1 in 2023 was the genesis for the labels latest
release, when DT label head Holly Lester unknowingly
dropped a Voodoos & Taboos track only for the duo to walk
in mid-way. Already known for their standout releases on
iconic labels like Phonica, Bordello a Parigi, and Palms Trax's
CWPT, this chance encounter sparked a creative connection
between Holly and the pair. ‘Time Out’ kicks things off with
swirling synths and the duo's signature alien electronics, set
to a playful breaks infused rhythm and morphing bassline,
as command and control rings out overhead. ‘Endless Game’
comes with the usual V&T trimmings; an infectious bassline
and with a scattering of curious sounds and samples, with a
healthy dose of italo-inspired groove - the type of track
reserved for bringing a dash of joy to the dance􀂭oor amidst a
heads down body-moving groove. On the B-side, Australian
newcomer Bertie steps up with her remix of ‘Time Out’,
following her breakout EP and high-pro􀂬le remix by Ciel. In a
short space of time, Bertie has already developed a signature
sound injecting her productions with nostalgic 90s house
and contemporary subtext; glued together by crunchy drums
and a penchant for wide-eyed rhythms. Sticking to her guns,
Bertie’s 􀂭ip of ‘Time Out’ packs a serious punch, showing
why she’s an artist on the rise. The EP closes out with the
psychedelic ‘All Action’ with its vocoder vocal samples,
bubbling acid and teleporting top-lines. One of the most
notable features of the duo's music is their ability to let
things evolve over time, their music often accompanied by
strong storytelling, an art that has been almost lost in today’s
era of instant grati􀂬cation; their instrumentation often taking
on a life form of their own and dosed with surprises.

With the perfect fusion of Animalia's wide realm of styles and foundations, comes up & coming Australian producer al dente, with a minimal, modern take on peak-time bangers. Clean cut and futuristic, with a hint of early 2000's minimal influence, the al dente sound represents a fresh new wave of club-rollers whilst encompassing Animalia's signature deep sound.
Next up on X-Kalay it’s fresh heat from one of the finest among a current generation of prog-inclined producers. Guy Contact’s ‘Out of My Head (Into My Body)’ speaks to a sublime, utopian conception of dancefloor utility; dance music primed to achieve ascension through collective physical experience.Navigating mystic, offbeat zones, Contact sets out his stall from the start. ‘Out of My Head (Into My Body)’ is as pristine as it is expansive, inducing trance states as trippy flourishes oscillate over driving rhythm in impeccable lysergic style. Then, with another dose of melt-on-the-mind groove, a radiant bliss-out arrives in the beautifully buoyant flex of ‘Sacred Mist’.Taking its name from a part of the brain associated with emotional processes, ‘Amygdala Tongue Wobble’ propels into fractal introspection with dense, insistent pulse. Finally, ‘Optimystic’ finds Contact channelling new age spirits as he assumes the role of innerzone healer - wide-eyed downtempo to close things out.
TwoStep2 aka DJ Relay and Jo Public have been known for their superlative but distinctly old skool sounds, but lead track on this three cut 12" is rather a subtle departure. The beat is a little more wonderfully wonky than you might expect and the bassline bigger and more adventurous, with pleasingly original results. 'Starlight' plays off its abrasive backspins with fluttering harps that are more Luke Vibert than Sticky or Noodles, true genius, and a bubbling beat to boot. 'Weapon of Choice' plunders ravier elements but again, it's no museum piece with its off kilter piano and slowed down, drowsy atmospherics. If you're looking for memorable tunes that stick out rather than fit in, make this your destination.
For our 8th EP we bring you fresh works from the Dominican producer Log_In. He’s released on underground staples such Dance Floor Rituals, Art of Dark, and Partout, always delivering his own take on modern italo-disco infused techno music. This time, Log_In presents three tracks which take heavy inspiration from the sound palettes of 90’s video games. A1, Cracking Code, is a driving yet nostalgic soundtrack for the early sunrise. A2, RFW, serves as the dazzling anthem in the midst of the night. B1, Modal, is a hi energy power track that is sure to get the crowd moving.Gamine’s own Christian ties the EP together with a slick remix of the B1 track. Slightly more minimalistic than the original, this track is suited for any point of the night.
Split #3 is the latest installment in the Split Series released by Overthink Records, showcasing a dynamic blend of techno and EBM from talented producers. This record features two sides, each offering distinct yet complementary styles.Corsica producer Charlou takes over the A side with two techno tracks, delivering a unique sound that seamlessly blends retro and modern elements. On the B side, Italian producer Waveratio 618 makes a strong debut with two solid techno/EBM tracks. Waveratio 618's music is marked by its gritty textures, driving beats, and dark / atmospheric tones. The tracks merge the raw intensity of EBM with the precision and complexity of techno, creating a sound that is both intense and hypnotic.
