After the amazing response for our first release, we couldn’t be more excited to share new energy with you.For this second release, the creativity is collective, giving birth to the first Various Artists of the Label. The two young talents Alex Dima & Munir Nadir, from Outcast Torino, give a clear example of their excellent music taste.Moving North-West towards Center-East Italy, you find yourself in the Riviera shores.Luca Piermattei, from Pesaro, is a true taste-maker of this scene, and we’re sure you’ll agree with that after listening to his stunning composition.Closing out the EP, our dear friends from Rimini, Smoud Beats, residents at Buongiorno Classic, deliver a d-floor acid bomb you can hardly resist.
Dance Generation from the prolific Parisian producer Vitess again affirms his place in leading France’s underground clubbing scene, and beyond. Four electronic tracks are entailed in this EP, spotlighting his distinctive twist on homogenising groovy synths and percussive layers.
All (label, artist and distribution) proceeds of this next record will go to UNHCR, The UN Refugee Agencys' emergency interventions in Ukraine.Third and closing chapter of the Oyster Tribe series, the revised single edition of Brent Lewis ‘1739’ oozes a mix of breezy outback dreamtime, red earth funk and sun-baked drum virtuosity. Originally issued in 2004 as part of his self-released ‘Drumsex’ album, Lewis’ mystique-imbued tune sculpts a tripped-out hybrid jam out of spoon percs and folk-infused broken beat; and who better than OZ home-boys FIO and Fantastic Man to add their masters' spin to that totemic chugger.Whilst FIO cranks the BPMs a notch further and beefs up the bass to turn the OG mix into a serious contender for countryside banger of the year, Fantastic Man plays havoc with the whole of Lewis track’s DNA sequence, slicing, dicing and re-hashing its bits and bobs over and over again to form a Southerner variant of the Frankenstein creature, all sight set on busting dancefloors by the dozen.
Moving on to the 11th release on NorthSouth Records and it’s a return with another 4 trackerfrom label co-founder Harry McCanna who once again dons his Henry Hyde alias.Leading the way on the record is Melting, a tried and tested dance floor killer, with it’s deftlyprogrammed drums and bulbous baseline, it’s destined to twist a few melons on the dancefloor.Up next is Shaking Off, moving things in to slightly lighter, bouncier territory, playful vocalsnippets interspersed with zapping synth stabs, a certified wiggler! On the flip, things get under way with Mire as the EP moves into a sludgier direction on theSouth side, heads down groove-a-plenty this ones an ear worm destined to get you shaking.Rounding out the EP is Sunrise at the Pavilion. The clue is in the title, but just imagine this oneand those gated synths, sun coming up through the trees, many special moments to be had forsure!
HARMONY013 is a result of the cooperation between Alfred Czital and Ayu, capturing the spontaneity and energy of the duo's musical synergy from their recently performed live sets. The EP envelops listeners in a trancy and deep sonic journey, weaving a dynamic tapestry of progressive sound that carries a sense of innovation.
